Hello everyone. My name is Rodney L. Bruce. I’m 49 years old and I live in a small town in Southeastern Missouri. I’ve actually lived in the same town my entire life. I guess there are two reasons for this. First, it’s a great town. Second, I’ve never really had any reason to move.
I got started in mlm, or network marketing if you prefer, in the mid 1990’s. Like a lot of other people, I got initiated into mlm by joining Amway. Boy, have things changed since then. For those of you who were involved in the mlm industry back then you know what I’m talking about.
Back then it was all about making a list of people you knew, contacting them, and trying to convince them to come to a live business presentation at a hotel meeting room or maybe even someone’s home. Needless to say, I didn’t have a lot of success getting people to join my Amway downline.
After Amway, I moved on to some other companies that offered marketing systems that promised you wouldn’t have to contact your friends or family. A couple of these programs worked fairly well and I actually began to make a little money. Still, I never achieved the level of success I was looking for mainly because of the large marketing expenses.
When the internet really started to grow I immediately recognized the income potential it offered and I quickly became a student of internet marketing.
I had basically given up on mlm, so my first endeavor into internet marketing was a website that sold physical products. I actually did fairly well with this business but I quickly realized that without the capital to outsource a lot of the day to day activities, running the business was worse than working a full-time job.
I then moved on to affiliate marketing. I again began learning everything I could about this aspect of internet business. I learned search engine optimization. I learned about pay-per-click advertising. I learned about email marketing, lead capture pages, autoresponders and everything else you needed to know about affiliate marketing. Once again I achieved a reasonable amount of success but still there was something missing.
It didn’t take long to realize what was missing. Even though I was making good money promoting affiliate products, I knew that the minute I quit promoting I would also quit making money. What was missing was that walk-away residual income that drew me to network marketing in the first place.
So I basically came full circle and was back contemplating starting another mlm business. Only this time I would use the power of the internet to build my downline.
After doing some research I quickly discovered that there were hundreds of online mlm companies someone could get involved with. The problem was they had the same drawbacks of the old traditional network marketing companies. They all had a small percentage of people who were making huge incomes and a very large percentage of people who were making little or nothing.
Thanks to the knowledge I had acquired about affiliate marketing, it didn’t take me long to figure out why these online mlm companies were experiencing the same problems as traditional mlm companies. They simply didn’t know how to market their companies on the internet so there was no way they could show their independent marketers how to build their businesses the correct way either.
I realized that in order to build a successful mlm business online you had to use a lot of the same methods and strategies that are used in affiliate marketing. Once I began doing this things changed dramatically. Things finally started to work.
Of course, when you find something that works on the internet, it doesn’t take long for hundreds or even thousands of others to start copying what you’re doing. That’s why over the last couple of years there have literally been hundreds of “turnkey marketing systems” show up everywhere on the internet.
These systems promise that you will be able to make thousands of dollars within a matter of weeks or months because you will have a proven marketing system. They promise you a website with a proven sales page, proven marketing techniques, proven lead capture pages, and so much more.
I have tested a few of these systems and guess what? They DON’T work. Or at the least they only work fractionally as well as the creator claims they will. I will go into detail on why these systems can boast such great results on their sales page and yet not work for most of the people who use them in one of my blog posts so I won’t dwell on the subject here.
The thing you need to know is that I have proven that you do need to use an mlm marketing system to be successful. I want to show you how to put together your own system because your own system will outperform all of these other “proven turnkey systems” the majority of the time.
There are a couple of good marketing systems out there but you are still better off creating your own if you can.
After finally achieving a decent level of success, I now want to pass on what I’ve learned to others so hopefully they won’t have to spend all of the time and money that I did on their education.
Don’t think I trying to fool anyone though. I’m not doing this only because I am such a generous person. I also know that people like to do business with other people who provide them with valuable information. People like to do business with people they can relate to and that seem legitimately concerned about other people’s success. This means that I will make money as I show more and more people the best way for them to make money.
Read that last paragraph again because it explains a key concept that you will need to learn if you truly want to be successful.
Basically, the concept is the same concept that famous motivational speaker and salesman, Zig Ziglar taught. In at least one of his books, Zig said, “You can have anything you want in life if you just help enough other people get what they want in life.”
With that in mind, please understand that I am here because I want to help you in any way that I can regardless if I ever make a dime off of you. For that reason I’m going to do something that very few people would do. I’m going to provide you with my actual telephone number and tell you that you can call me if you ever have any questions. I will do my best to help you regardless of whether or not we’re in business together.
I look forward to helping you achieve your goals.
